Spring Reign Tournament *Saturday. April 23th & Sunday, April 24th *All day *Skagit Valley Park, Burlington, Washington |
What is Spring Reign? Spring Reign is an Ultimate Tournament that is attended by Mixed Teams from several states and Canada. While some years have had high schools one weekend, and middle schools another, this year they will be the same weekend. There are at least 30 fields set up at Skagit Valley Park. The first day is round robin, and the second is double elimination. This tournament is super fun, you’ll always remember playing at Spring Reign. |
Where is Spring Reign? The tournament is in a humongous park, Skagit Valley Park, in Burlington, which is just north of Mount Vernon. Lots of food and amenities near by, by car. The trip up is usually about 2 hours from West Seattle. |
Who is going to Spring Reign? ALL of the 2022 Varsity Mixed Team is invited to come. Please let me know right away if you are available. You have one week to RSVP! ALL of the Girls/Gx players from 2021-22 are invited, and encouraged to come, including brand new players this spring. We need all the Gx matching players as possible. Even if you come for one of the days, that will help. This is a great opportunity to get play time and to watch other gx players from around the NW play. We WILL be taking many JV Bx matching players. Please let me know if you are available, and I will confirm as soon as possible. Players can be from the Fall, Mixed, or Spring, priority will be given to Mixed players. |
How do I sign up and how much will it cost? Varsity Mixed players and any Gx players should go to the DiscNW page and sign up and pay there. https://www.discnw.org/e/2022-spring-reign-hs/register. Look for Westside Ultimate, as you pass by the 30 other teams in alpha order! Once I know how many slots I’ll invite JV Bx players to sign up. You will pay your entry fee to DiscNW, where they have a sliding scale and different options, $0-$104.50. At this time, we are not planning any additional fees for players. |
What else do I need to know? Commuting or Staying – Different folks have different schedules and budgets, some like to commute to Burlington both days, some like to stay in nearby lodging. Carpools – if commuting, we will have a carpool sign up. Hotel – more info coming, trying to get a block of rooms for families. In the before times we would have a bunch of players stay in a room together, but we’re not ready for that yet. Volunteers – We will use parent volunteers to provide and set up food in a base camp. I will send out a sign up genius. Food and Water – We will have a potluck food table, but players should also pack what works for them. Water is available around the fields, and we’ll have some too. Some food will be provided by DiscNW but not “enough”. Bathrooms are plentiful. Weather will be perfect or crap, on the same day, pack accordingly. Medics are on site. Cool gear is available, bring your $$, go first thing Saturday am. New cleats should be broken in ahead of time. Bring chairs unless you are okay flopping on the grass, then bring a blanket. We will establish a Base Camp near the fields we play on. Somebody bring Music/speaker. |
