Westside Ultimate is thrilled to have Dr. Britta Jones as a coach this summer! More about Britta:
Britta is a second generation ultimate kid who started playing ultimate in 2005 as a freshman at the University of Florida. Britta played for the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill in graduate school and has played club in North Carolina with, among others, Phoenix (women’s), Cahoots (mixed), Rogue (coach/captain, women’s); most recently she played with Ripe at the World Master’s Ultimate Club Championship and placed third. In her eight years in North Carolina she served as the Triangle Youth Ultimate League president and then youth chair for Triangle Ultimate and organized multiple years of YCC teams (Warhawks, Triforce) out of the Triangle. She helped to found and coach the Carrboro HS Clams in 2009 and coached them through seven seasons in addition to coaching various elementary and middle school clinics. Since moving to Seattle, Britta has coached the Seven Hills Green (middle school) and Purple (high school) open teams. Britta is an immunologist conducting her post-doc at Virginia Mason where she researches autoimmune diseases.
